Base surface treatment:

The construction of butyl rubber belt needs a smooth foundation surface with a solid surface and small unevenness. Steel structure material or glass material is easy to meet. But the concrete surface is more difficult.      

Steel structure material, before butyl rubber belt construction, it is necessary to carry out rust removal and rust prevention construction on steel structure. As for concrete material, it is recommended to use epoxy permeable material to reinforce the base surface. If it is a facade, ensure the surface is smooth; Plane, viscosity is reduced, resulting in a certain self-leveling effect. 4.2 Construction treatment

Preparation tools: small hair dryer, small pressure roller; Material: butyl adhesive tape with aluminum foil surface. Construction location: the junction of wall, concrete and metal column. Construction climate: autumn, sunny day, West Lake District, Hangzhou, the temperature is about 15℃. Specific construction technology:

A： the concrete wall needs to be bonded, and epoxy resin is used for surface infiltration reinforcement;

B：bag hanging operation: butyl adhesive tape, at the highest place, heated and bonded to the wall. The width is about 10 mm.

C：after reinforcement and molding. Small hair dryer, low-grade hot air, medium wind speed, hot air blowing operation on concrete and metal base, uniform speed, moving speed of about 10 seconds/cm.

D：hanging the butyl adhesive tape of the bag, removing the isolation film and pressing it on the heated foundation surface. Every 200 mm length of paste, the surface shall be compacted with a press roller. Complete the bonding construction of butyl adhesive tape.      

Butyl tape, when construction, need to test the bonding effect. Determine the heating speed according to the weather, temperature and base condition of the day. If the heating time is too long, the butyl adhesive tape is easy to loose; The heating time is too short, and the butyl adhesive tape has no wire drawing and bonding effect.

What are the construction requirements?

The base surface of butyl rubber belt construction should be solid and flat. The construction temperature should not be too high or too low. Grassroots must be cleaned up, no dust floating ash. When necessary, you can use alcohol solvents to wipe. It is not suitable for construction in windy days (level 5 and above).
