In the fields of new energy materials, electronic packaging, and composite film manufacturing, hot melt coating technology is gradually replacing traditional solvent-based coating processes. As the core equipment of this technology, extrusion-type hot melt coating systems have undergone multiple technological innovations, effectively addressing the pain points of traditional equipment, such as low coating accuracy, high material waste, and poor adaptability. 1. Breakthrough Improvements in Tension Control Systems

Modern extrusion-type hot melt coating equipment adopts a fully closed-loop tension control system, enabling independent and precise regulation of unwinding, coating, and rewinding processes. Through the coordinated operation of servo motors and tension sensors, the system monitors substrate movement in real time, controlling tension fluctuations within ±0.5N. Integrated with PID temperature control modules, the system confines adhesive viscosity fluctuations to ±3%, ensuring coating uniformity with a CV value ≤1.8%. Tests show that at a line speed of 2m/min, coating thickness deviation remains stable at ±2μm, fully meeting the production requirements for high-end products like photovoltaic backsheets.

4. Upgraded Multifunctional Coating Die Compatibility

The slot-die coating head incorporates multi-zone temperature control technology, enabling lip gap adjustments with 0.01mm precision. By rapidly replacing lip components, the same equipment can accommodate various coating methods, including knife-over-roll and micro-gravure. A uniquely designed flow channel guide plate reduces adhesive residence time in the die cavity by 40%, effectively preventing thermal degradation. Combined with online thickness gauges and closed-loop feedback systems, coating weight control accuracy reaches ±0.8g/m².

As novel composite materials continue to emerge, modern extrusion-type hot melt coating equipment is evolving toward intelligent and flexible production. Through innovations in core components, these systems not only improve production yields but also enable seamless scaling from lab-scale trials to industrial mass production.
