Principle of operation The working principle of the backingless label coater is based on a unique coating and laminating technology. Structural features Unwinding and winding system: Equipped with high-precision unwinding and winding devices, it can accurately control the conveying speed and tension of label material and release film. Through the automatic tension adjustment system, it ensures that the material always maintains a stable running state during the whole production process, avoiding problems such as wrinkles and stretching deformation, and guaranteeing the quality of coating and lamination. Coating system: The coating head is one of the core components of the bottomless paper label coater. Common coating methods include gravure coating, anilox roller coating and so on.
These coating methods can accurately control the amount of coating and the uniformity of coating according to different adhesive properties and label coating requirements. For example, gravure coating can achieve high-precision coating, which is very suitable for some label application scenarios with strict requirements on adhesive thickness; whereas anilox coating is characterised by fast coating speed and high efficiency, which is suitable for large-scale label production. Laminating and Peeling System: The system is responsible for laminating the adhesive-coated label material with the release film and achieving label peeling when needed. The laminating device uses a special pressure adjustment mechanism to ensure that the label material and the release film are tightly adhered to each other without causing damage to the label. The peeling device is designed to facilitate manual peeling by the operator or to be connected to automated labelling equipment for efficient label application. Drying and curing system: Because adhesives need a certain drying or curing process after coating, the bottomless label coater is usually equipped with a corresponding drying and curing device. For water-based adhesives, hot air drying is generally used, by controlling the temperature and air volume of the hot air, so that the adhesive dries quickly.
For some special adhesives, such as UV curing adhesive, it is equipped with UV curing lamp, using ultraviolet radiation to make the adhesive curing quickly, to improve production efficiency. Application Scenarios Logistics and Warehousing: In the logistics industry, bottomless paper labels are widely used for the identification and tracking of goods. The lightweight design of bottomless labels reduces the overall weight of the label and lowers logistics costs. At the same time, its easy to paste and peel characteristics, making the use of labels more convenient and efficient in the process of goods sorting, transport and warehousing. For example, in e-commerce warehouses, bottomless paper labels can be quickly affixed to commodity packages for easy code recognition and inventory management. Retail industry: Used for price labels and promotional labels for merchandise. The cost advantage of bottomless paper labels allows retailers to reduce the cost of label production, while their aesthetic appearance and good adhesion performance can meet the needs of retail merchandise display. In addition, when promotional activities frequently change labels, bottomless labels can save a lot of time and manpower with their quick-change and paste characteristics. Food and beverage packaging: Bottomless labels are also widely used in food and beverage packaging. As it does not use the backing paper, reducing the consumption of paper, in line with the concept of environmental protection. At the same time, the bottomless paper label can be well adhered to the food packaging material, and in a humid environment (such as refrigerated beverage packaging) can also maintain stable adhesive performance, will not easily fall off.
